“This technology takes our Zero Harm capability to the next level. PLINX has provided our project a secure and robust network for the safety of our people.”
The WLU team has adapted the social distancing technology to ensure everyone is protected on site.
Project Director, Rob Harrison, says: “This technology takes our Zero Harm capability to the next level. PLINX has provided our project a secure and robust network for the safety of our people. This is an Australia first for our customers.”
Downer is also utilizing PLINX’s MachineSense, which provides collision protection by combing data from nearby tags and sending audible and visual feedback to both operator and workers to reduce the likelihood of a collision. The system not only creates an early warning system to prevent injury of Downer People but to reduce the risk of delays on the project.
Team members are currently trialling the TeamSense technology to understand how efficiently the system works before integrating the system into the wider project.
